After hours grooving…
1. ‘Arabian Horse’ – GusGus
Definitely my favourite album from the last couple of years. It’s hard to describe it, think of it as Deep Techno meets Dream Pop laced with ethereal vocals and haunting effects.
2. ‘Too Much’ – Hong Kong Syndicat
This jazzy pop number from 1986 is perfect for a post shenanigans experience especially if proposed alongside its official video: creative, utterly crazy and totally German.
3. ‘Follow Me’ – Jam & Spoon
The B side from the 1993 world-wide hit ‘Right In The Night’ is what make this 12″ really worth it. Every time I’ve played this 13 minutes journey to someone new they have gone mental. But it must be played in its entirety!
4. ‘Blade Runner Soundtrack’ – Vangelis
Vangelis soundtrack to this classic sci-fi movie is actually a great chill-out album. A great mix of electronic sounds and ethic vibes that will make the landing smoother.
05. ‘Holy Ghost!’ – Holy Ghost!
The first album from this New York synth-pop duo is pure genius: sometimes catchy, sometimes melancholic and totally 80s electronic.
06. Anything by BJORK
Debut, Post, Homogenic, Vespertine, Medúlla, Volta, Biophilia: I promise you it’s worth turning any chill-out into a Björk marathon!
07. ‘Moments In Love’ – Art Of Noise
No, the room is not spinning. Better get you a coffee dear. Yes this tune is amazing! Keep floating babes.
08. ‘Out Of The Woods’ – Tracy Thorn
This album was a very welcome come back in 2007. Me and my friends love this woman. File under: this will please everyone.
09. ‘Young Hunger’ – Chad Valley
Another electronic dream-pop album that is perfect to unwind and relax. This fantastic singer/producer really deserves more mainstream success.
‘Smokebelch II’ (Beatless Mix) – The Sabres Of Paradise –
A masterpiece, a classic, a feel-good and classy piece of electronic music!
