GUY WILLIAMS

01. Change  ‘Angel In My Pocket’
Change are one of my favourite groups from the disco era and this one of my favourite tracks, uplifting with an irresistibly catchy b-line riff, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

02. Talking Heads ‘This Must Be The Place (Live)’
One band I wished I’d seen live, the Stop Making Sense live album that this is from is genuis. This track is both quirky and moving and with a line like “I love you till my heart stops” you can’t lose.

03. Deelite  ‘What Is Love’
They made a number of great tracks but this is my personal fave, you can listen to that riff for ever,  so simple  and a great track to play at a chill out thats still got some life in it!

04. The Smiths   ‘There Is a Light’
Growing up in Manchester in the eighties ensured I was a Smiths fan and this is certainly one of their highlights, great chords and a lasting sentiment, a truly special song

05. Dj H feat Stefy  ‘Hey Boy – Larry Levan Mix’
A great remix of this early Italian house track, the bline has Balearic written all over it , pure disco Balearic!

06. Prince  ‘Erotic City’
Always loved Prince and even though he has written so many great tracks, this has grown into something of a cult classic, frequently covered but never bettered “I just want those creamy thighs!”

07. INXS ‘I Need You Tonight (12″ Mix)’
Another Balearic moment from a band who managed to straddle rock and pop really well, with its low slung, catchy b-line, guitar riffs and hooky vocal this is a winner

08. Silver Bullet  ‘20 Seconds To Comply’
If you wanna make a party jump, look no further, this full on hip house monster never fails to get the place rockin’ watch your floorboards tho!

09. Heaven 17 ‘Penthouse & Pavement’
A genius early eighties pop funk track that still sounds great today, im so grateful I grew up listening to the sound of this decade as its still inspiring me today

10. Diane Brown & Barrie K Sharpe ‘Blind Faith’
Difficult decision between this and the Masterplan but this sends shivers down my spine as it reminds me of 1989 my summer of love, groovy, soulful and timeless.
