Hybrid

1. Orbital – Halcyon / On + On
Beautifully chilled out Orbital perfection from back in the day, many, many a late night had this to bring you down then watch the sun come up….

2. James Newton Howard – 25 Dollars Worth
A beautiful closing theme from the film Michael Clayton by James Newton Howard. One of my favorite scores for its mood and subtlety while still being interesting and compelling.

3. Andy Page – Yellow Tracksuit
Andy’s one of those sickeningly talented producers that has gems like this just lying about on his iPod from time to time. An unreleased track we’ve been championing for some time now.

4. Stefan Anion – Das Land Spricht
A track specially written by Stefan for our Soundsystem 01 CD. He’s one of my favorite producers at the moment and this is a powerful and mesmerizing track that beautifully combines lush electronica and soaring strings arrangements.

5.Aphex Twin – Icct Hedral (Phillip Glass Orchestration)- Warp
This piece of Dark classical music featured on Aphex Twin’s Donkey Rhubarb single and was an indication to us of what you can and can’t release, we then went on to fuse breaks with 80 piece Russian Orchestras….

6. Gustav Santaolalla – Deportation
A fantastically rich piece of music from the Babel soundtrack, achingly beautiful and one of the highlights of the whole score.

7. Sarbes Of Paradise – Smokebelch
All time classic techno with the future written all over it. Amazing level of forward thinking production and arrangement with piano’s glistening and synth lines twinkling make this a Hybrid favorite for life…

8. Charlotte James – Shadows Of The City
A fabulous trip into dreamy electronic folk with a glitchy coat of shiny drums. Another track specially written for us for our Soundsystem 01 compilation and showing off a great new song writing talent.

9. Mos Def & Massive Attack – Eye For and Eye – Blade soundtrack
Taken from the Blade soundtrack this is a big ugly monster in your kitchen with attitude. Great for those late night party’s then…!!

10.Vangellis – Bladerunner soundtrack
We always put this in as our top favorites and it’s here again in all its glory…. An epic view into the future from 1994 still sounds ahead of its time now and i think always will…
