Brothers Barton and Hayden Strom, aka Antix, have been playing the wanton reinvention game since the late nineties, morphing between dissociative minimal techno, emotive trance, floor-destroying chug-gery and frank psychedelia. Their promiscuous musical approach has taken their sound to influential labels (Iboga Records, Flow, Bedrock, Toolroom, Spiral Trax), to clubs and to massive festivals across five continent (through both DJ sets and live performances). 2024 will see the release of their fifth album on heavyweight Iboga Records, marking a quarter century of musical experimentation. Sultry vocalist with lyrics that really inspire and make you think about the bigger picture in life. Good song to include in a playlist for my funeral wake. 🙂
Weval – Should Be Fine
Everything Weval touches turns to gold. Hard to choose a favourite of theirs for this playlist. Love the depth and emotive nature of this track and lovely composition from start to finish.

Love the twinkles and groove on this. Joe Goddard, one part of Hot Chip, with a beauty pop anthem.
Moderat – Bad Kingdom
There’s only a few that are of this emotional intensity . But this is definitely one of them.

Hypnotic, drone, solid grooves. This is the kinda rock that rocks me.
Pional – Invisible
Indy house, indy dance whatever this is… it’s 80’s and I love it.
The Cure – The Forest
Keeping with the 80’s… pure class, so simple and yet so effective. Sometimes the first works of a band are their best.
