Hailing from France but with a sound that is truly global, Nico de Andrea creates music that manages to blend emotional and melancholic pop music with afro, house and techno rhythms. A singular and much in demand artist, Nico has previously released on labels like Ultra, Armada, Spinnin Records, Abracadabra and Africanism, and has remixed huge artists like Ten City, Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Martin Solveig and Marshall Jefferson. Nico is also currently making some big waves in the South African scene especially, and SA legend Black Coffee has been a big champion of his. His latest single is ‘Lightening’ which lands on Undisputed Music later this month: a gorgeous, deep, melodic house cut which demonstrates both the range of his influences and talent in bringing them together into a single coherent track.

I remembered to have listened this track a thousand times. I’ve discovered that you can be emotionally touched by music made with machines. It was a life changing track.

It took me many years before I’ve started to  appreciate Jazz but it might be my biggest inspiration now when it comes to music. It’s breaking every rules. Pure freedom of creation. And this one is in French

I want to dance forever on this record. One of the tunes I’ve played the most in my Dj sets back in the days. Hot!

Georg Levin, Clara Hill – I Got Somebody New

When I’ve discovered Soulful House Music I immediately knew that it’s going to be my sound forever. Deep and Sexy. This one is a pure diamond

Octave One – Blackwater

The biggest track of the Detroit Techno Scene. The perfect mix between organic sound with the string sections and electronic sound with the techno beat and the super catchy synth melody. Masterpiece.

River Ocean – Love & Hapiness

The contribution of the Masters at Work in electronic music is huge. They put together Soul, Jazz, R&B, afro and Latin music. They are true legends. I would probably not be a Dj/producer without them. Respect.

London Grammar – Sights (Dennis Ferrer Remix)

Energy and emotion at the maximum level. I love to close my sets with this remix. Crazy.
