Label – I’ve got to give some love to Nueva Recordings. They’ve been amazing to work with this year. The label hosts a heavy roster of talent and strong releases with a wealth of support from some of the world’s biggest artists.
Breakthrough label – The Krafted Records Label. The whole team at Krafted has really pushed the label to a new level. From strong compilations, new artist discovery, their Krafted Events and Radio Show, they have truly put in the work to be one of the best breakthrough labels this year.
Producer – Gryffin
Festival – Something Wicked Music Festival in Houston, Texas. The Disco Donnie and Nightculture crew do an amazing job on this festival from the lineup to stage design and overall fan experience. One of my favorite festivals that I’ve played!
Music Conference – South By South West Music conference in Austin, TX.
Radio Show – Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy.
Mainstage DJ – It’s hard to pick one for this year but I think Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers both deliver awesome mainstage performances.
Resident DJ – Johnny Funk the resident DJ at Lizard Lounge in Dallas, TX.
Club – Stereo Live Dallas.
New Studio Equipment/Software – My favorite piece of studio equipment has to be JLab Audio’s Flex Studio Headphone. Superior sound quality and the most comfortable headphone I’ve ever worn.
Personal highlight of 2016 – This was such an amazing year and full of so many highlights. I would have to say touring thirty cities across the United States and Canada with the Night Nation Run Tour which is the world’s first running music festival. The Night Nation Shows are always huge with a crowd size averaging almost twenty thousand people, which makes it a super high energy show. Also the tour benefits Stand Up 2 Cancer, so people are literally dancing to fight cancer! Some other highlights for the year would have to include playing at Soldier Field in Chicago, playing Soundbar and playing Something Wonderful Music Festival.
Your ambition for 2017…I’m so excited for 2017. I’ve got tons of new music I’ll be releasing this year including some incredible vocal tracks I’m really looking forward to sharing with everyone. I’ll also be touring even more in 2017 with some exciting shows & festival appearances across the globe including some countries and cities I’ve yet to play in.
