Back to Mine with ANGELZ

After hours grooving at the best late night sessions in the world

Johnny Dangerously – Emerald City (Doc Martin’s Sublevel Mix)
Brilliant track from Doc Martin, the layering and de-layering is what makes this one great. Makes clever use of a Michael Jackson sample and the semi-breakdown where it all quiets to down to leave the girl singing is flawless.

Dog Blood – Chella Ride (Bambounou Remix)
Hyptonic techno at its finest , rattles the whole room.

1984 – Arabesque (NT89 Remix)
This still catches people by surprise , raw enough so that it’s not corny . The textures in the lead sound translate exceptionally well live and mess with people’s heads.

Aden – Whip (Jimmy Edgar Remix)
Very physical record and perfect to make sure people do not slow down as the night advances.

Omar Souleyman – Shift Al Mani (Crackboy Remix)
For me this is one is must at any time. I love everything from Acid Arab and this one embodies the essence of it in the most effective manner.

Jasper James – Motel One (Skream Remix)
Really dig the direction Skream has been in but I think it took him some adjusting.  This remix sounds like a statement that he’s done his homework.

Art Department – Crazy (Jamie Jones Remix)
The level of detail in this is super sharp. Perfect blend of melancholy and heaviness.

Jay Lumen & Harvey McKay – Power Chords
Absolutely massive warehouse slapper nothing else to say.

Etnik – Nixon
Huge fan of anything Etnik makes. This is one of his more accessible records and what I think more late-night house should sound like.

Fake Blood – Waiting
Fake Blood has an unusual way of mixing songs, to me it feels really instinctive and it is something I dig. The low-end on this cut is massive and the piano work is as dark as I need it to be.
