Back To Mine With Francesco Rossi

After hours grooving with the producer who can do no wrong

Archive – Again
An intense song that excited me from the very first listen. The simple arrangement and melody make this song eternal.

Joaquin “Joe” Claussell – Evora
The version from the legendary Claussel of this wonderful song by the Queen of Cape Verde. A unique voice that goes straight to the heart. Thanks Cesaria.

Syl Johnson – Is it Because I’m Black
I’ve always had a passion for black music. I believe that this great artist of the Mississippi was able to convey the soul of black music in this masterpiece of 1968.

Daft Punk – Da Funk
This came out during my favourite part of the 90s. It is also the song I played 3 times in the same evening. I remember that I locked myself in the studio to see how the two French producers are able to obtain the electronic sound of the main riff. Eventually I discovered the trick. Talented.

Massive Attack – Paradise Circus
One of my favourite British bands. This is a beautiful song made even more magical by the voice of Hope Sandoval.

Frankie Knuckles – Your Love
A tribute to a great artist who has influenced my career and that of the majority of DJ’s from around the world. A track that is not only a milestone of house music but also a hymn to love. Thanks Frankie, with us forever.

Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes – Wake Up Everybody
This always went off in the club where I started playing. This is one of those “Always in my suitcase records” for me.

The Prodigy – Breathe
When I saw the video of Breathe for the first time I was speechless. A mix of rock, punk, electronic as I had never heard before. Both the song and the video are absolutely brilliant.

Prince & The Revolution – Kiss
The genius of Minneapolis has been exceeded in this masterpiece that I have drilled over the years. Electronic drum, guitar and voice. What else?

DJ Rolando – Jaguar
In my opinion, the Techno anthem of all time. A record that I put in every one of my sets still today. ETERNAL.

Francesco Rossi joins forces together with MTV Europe’s Belgian Artist Of The Year nominee Ozark Henry to deliver his NEW Single ‘Godspeed You’, the follow up to his former Ibiza 2013 DJ Awards Track Of The Season and Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune ‘Paper Aeroplane’. ‘Godspeed You’ is a punchy four-on-the-floor favorite for late nights or early mornings, one still can not let go even after a long dance marathon. The inspired and playful fusion of all genres, from Deep House to modern Pop, make this brilliant and classy Track so distinctive. Remixes are provided by Grammy winning superstar producer/DJ David Morales, who gives the original an inimitable Morales house twist and German legend Martin Buttrich lays down a deep, tech house rework designed for the late night dancefloor experience. The positive sun-kissed vibe, coupled with the emotional and epic vocals and a “state of the art” production do everything perfectly while its “Godspeed” chorus send you into raptures. Lovely and eternally lasting, this is a an extremely large Summer anthem. Pete Tong’s Future Star Francesco Rossi is a globally successful DJ. Originally from Tuscany in Italy, he played at the biggest clubs and festivals worldwide from Ultra Music Festival in Miami to Street Parade in Zurich and Pukkelpop in Belgium or Pacha and Amnesia in Ibiza. Ozark Henry is a strong cultural icon across music, design, fashion and cinema in his home country Belgium. His latest Single ‘I’m Your Sacrifice’ released on D:VISION last Winter went Platinum in Italy and is now set for a full release via Ultra / Sony Music US and Island Records UK.
