Miss Tucker a very warm welcome back to DMCWORLD…where on planet earth are you today?
Heyyyy it’s good to be back here! I am currently in Ibiza working on material for 2016.
Let’s kick off with the festive season, did you have a wonderful Christmas Day and where did you spend midnight on New Years Eve?
Yes I did have a wonderful Christmas season…I was with my DJ…DJ Quinta Young in Pulgia at the Borgo Egnazia. We had a ball bringing the New Year in there.
2015 came to a close with the world going crazeee over your ‘Live Your Life’ collab with Federico Scavo with every major DJ in the world giving you big thumbs up. Tell us about the history and sound of the track…
Ohhhh it’s just getting started….there’s soooo many lyrics in me sometimes I can’t shut it off…lol. We are all loving the support, d:vision is definitely doing their thang…thanks Matteo for the introduction to Federico. There’s a lot of sounds in Federico, he just knew I think from my sound that my voice can work with his creative work. I am a type of person that wants to minister to the world hope love and unity…it had to come out on this…cause it bumps energy!
The Alex Finkin Gospel Dub has been getting A LOT of airplay and dancefloor action recently. You digging it?
My associate Mathias Columbo introduced us and Alex who has remixed for many said yes and slammed this…I want to shout and sing it everywhere…live your life!!!!!
The video gives us the impression you two have a whole lot of fun in the studio together? You never quarrel about the production/recording process?
Nope never… Federico gave me freedom and a feeling and I let god’s spirit lead my heart! 20 mins later…it was done!
It was a sad day for the world of music this week with the passing away of the legendary David Bowie. Where you a fan, what are your memories of the man and his music?
I am a fan of great music and love musical stories, my memory as a younger person was watching him on the all black dance show Soul Train…and I was like wowwww….he’s so cool and that music was hot!….yes at my age…lol.
What can we expect next in 2016 from the beautiful Barbara Tucker voice release wise?
My albummmm!!!! Yes now 31 years in the music…it’s gonna be such a feeling…it’s called ‘Ascension’… I’ll be back at Blue Marlin and Glitterbox in Ibiza with a residency having a great time…keeping house alive…we all gotta do our part.
A great quote from you – “For me an artist doesn’t just have a voice – but has a presence, a style and can captivate the crowd.” Who are some of the current artists that you are high fiving at the moment?

3. Lil Mama…yes hip hop…she’s a presence not to sleep on…
The last 2 years have been so good for house music, whilst the world was taken over for a while by the drone of EDM we all sat waiting for it to go full circle. It’s great to be singing and smiling on the dancefloor again huh?
Ohhhhh yes…that’s how our generation moves….dancing and singing together with people you don’t even know their names….such a great feeling of unity on the floor…I missed that…the spirit of house had gone away …hiding…now it came back out to play…lol
What is your opinion on the lack of opportunities for new singers wanting a break in 2016, many relying on TV competition shows to break through?
Work!!!!! Do your homework…hit some conferences…TV shows will just bring you into a machine…where are these winners or contestants 5 years or whatever later…be the artist and “you” get creative…anybody can sing a cover…get creative!
And finally, when you were younger you wanted to be a flight attendant. Do you still fancy a pop at it?!?
Lolol!! I still fly a lot though…and I was just thinking of the attendants and always still think…but hey…got to go where god leads me….
