One of the other legendary parties you play at in Ibiza is Vintage at Lio. Across the road from Lio, Cirque du Soleil and the Adrià brothers opened up Heart this week. Three floors of amazing food, art, music and performance. Have you checked the place out yet, does Lio welcome Heart to the island?

“I still haven’t visited Heart. Today is the Official Opening, however I’m sure I will go there very soon. I think the venture will be very interesting and will bring positive things to Ibiza. About how it will affect Lio, I personally think that competition is always good for improving yourself and what you’re doing every day. Also in Ibiza there are enough people enough for both places and more.”

You hail from the town of Vall de Uxó in the Valencian province of Castelló. Please can you tell us about your early life and when music started to become a major part of it?

“When I was a child I summered in a tourist area where every Monday the people came to dance and there were concerts by nationally famous groups of the 70s. The owner was a friend of my parents and let me go to the soundchecks. In this region there is much love for music. Then at 14 years old I started working as a DJ in a nightclub in my city because I enjoy music so much and love to make people dance.”

At what age did you first come to Ibiza and how has the island changed since that first visit?

“My first visit to Ibiza was quite late because in summer I was working in nightclubs in Madrid and other places. My connection to Ibiza started when I was a DJ playing at Pacha Madrid. That led me to visit Pacha Ibiza and fell in love with this wonderful island and settled here permanently.”

Who are some of the artists / musicians that you grew up listening to that you still play today?

“The Rolling Stones (I think they have a pact with the Devil, jajaja), Paul McCartney (we were honoured to have him dining at Lío last summer as well as Jocelyn Brown, Kool & The Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire, Spandau Ballet etc.).”

What are your thoughts on Ibiza in 2015? Is the island too VIP now…there are still so many wonderful, secret places to enjoy and explore…

“I like Ibiza because you can always find what you need, you have quiet places to chill and the best parties in the world. Also Formentera is very close which is another paradise. Ibiza is also an island with an incredible ability to reinvent itself.”

For the people around the world Reading this who have never been to a Flower Power party…can you try and explain just what this experience is like?

“I think you can find what you want at Flower Power, You need only to come and enjoy it…”

You are one of Ibiza’s ‘must book’ DJs for private parties around the island. Who are some of the celebrities that you have DJ’d for over the years…?

“Pedro Almodóvar, David Guetta, David Beckham, Ronaldo, Joaquín Cortés and many more…”

And finally – what else are you excited about party wise this summer around the world?

“I´m not sure I have enough time to go to all the parties I would like to, but I´ll try! But sure I´ll be in London for this amazing party…”
