Taking inspiration from their surroundings on the world’s No. 1 party island, ’Milagro’ is a summery, uplifting track where the Brothers build on a percussion-filled beat with euphoric chords, a grooving bassline and echoing vocal choruses for an anthemic result. ‘Milagro’ further cements the Mambo Brothers’ status as Ibiza’s most multitalented duo. Alan, Christian welcome back to DMCWORLD. You have just returned from ADE madness, how was your party at Madam?
It was great! The venue was amazing! What views! It’s always a good fun playing with the Magnum family, Chelina, Mendo, etc…
I saw that Diesel kitted you out for the occasion, did you get to keep your clobber?
Yes! Diesel have been dressing us nicely for some time and it’s an honour for us to be brand ambassadors for them. It really isn’t a bad deal for us because they’ve always been our favourite jeans brand.
How was ADE, any new tracks picked up, any great parties attended?
Apart from our own event we went Pete Tong’s party which is always a must! Butch was playing after him and we wanted to check it out…we love his sound!
Alan, talking of clothes…I see that Bob Sinclar gave you a wonderful shirt for your ever expanding collection. Man, you need sunglasses to wear some of those dude?
Hahahaha luckily I only wear those shirts at night so no sunglasses required – but as you mention it I do also have a good collection of sunnies – essential for living in Ibiza!
So your brilliant year continues with the recent release of your new tune Milagro on Nothing Else Matters following up ‘Momento’. A lovely percussion filled track with euphoric chords, talk us through the tune…
We got the inspiration from a 90’s track, a balearic house kind of thing that we found watching an old video from a Foam Party at Amnesia. We just suddenly thought “this is the sound that we want to make!”
How do you compliment each other in the studio, who excels where?
I (Christian) take of all the more technical stuff while my brother drinks tequila looking for cool samples and classics!
Do you ever argue over music?
Always! We are brothers! lol!!!!
What are the 5 big tunes in your box this weekend…

It’s our track, we’ve been playing it a lot and it has that 90s flavour that takes us back to that time!
2. Let The Drums Speak – Mighty Dub Katz (Butch remix)
An uplifting and constant build up that we absolutely love!
3. Operator – Lapsley (Dj Koze remix)
It sounds like a classic disco record but it’s new. It’s a very happy and sexy kinda sound.

You have jetted all over the world for DJ gigs this year, what has been your favorite?
We have had lots! But ABODE in Sankeys Ibiza was the most fun I think for this summer…fucking great vibe!
Apart from ABODE, favorite Ibiza club of 2016?
This year the award goes to…Space!
You played at the Closing of Space which must have been amazing. The venue of course has been taken over by Ushuaia who are going for a more Pacha market, what are your hopes for the new venue?
Well, we don’t really know! All that we can say is that it’s going to be an interesting winter!
Pacha owner Ricardo Urgell was in the local press this week talking about the proposed sale of Pacha for somewhere in the region of €350m. He cites his reasons as the “ongoing monopolization” of the island which him and his family cannot stand. What are your thoughts on Ibiza’s latest development?
Ibiza is now in the eyes of all the biggest companies. There was a time when most places on the island were family run and there was a certain magic to it. You could be sitting in a beach bar with a Mojito in a hand and at the next table you could find Harrison Ford drinking a Sangria. The island has recently developed in a much more commercial way but we hope it always retains some of that Ibiza magic!
Mambo has had some storming nights this summer with some incredible headliners smashing the sunsets. What superstar DJs have the most fun on the Mambo decks, who really know how to get the party started right?
We have had incredible nights and guests this summer but we have to say that Hot Since 82 was amazing. We heard a great a couple of sets from him.
One of the best additions to Ibiza over the last 12 months has been your Hostal La Torre up the coast from Mambo. The best sunset in Ibiza? I think so.
Yes! 100% sunsets there are pure magic. We think that place has still really retained the spirit of the real Ibiza and we are working hard to keep it that way.
What are the plans for La Torre?
We open it all year and we will have some events during the winter but we are already working on bringing a very special guest next summer. We can’t confirm anything yet but watch this space

What is coming out next from you studio wise?
We have 3 tracks ready and we hope to release them before the end of the year or at least one of them
And finally, Ibiza is changing all of the time, some for the better some for the worse. What is your vision for future Ibiza? Is it going in the right direction, do you have any worries?
Ibiza is bigger than ever which is great! We just need to keep working hard to keep the island as real and as free as possible!
