The Avotre main man gets set for a huge ADE

Interview : Dan Prince

Philipp welcome to DMCWORLD – where in the world are you right now?

Hi Dan,I am on my way to Paris this weekend to play a few shows in France in Paris and Lyon.”

A big week for you with the release of your new EP ‘Need This’ out on Objektivity – please talk us through the EP…

“Thank you very much. It’s an old school inspired house track, I’m very glad that my friend Dennis signed it to his label Objektivity. It´s a groovy dance floor tune with an analog bassline and some 909 drums…that’s basically it!”

A huge event coming up next week, ‘Objektivity meets Avotre at ADE on October 17th with yourself being joined by the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Yousef and Andre Hommen. How important is ADE on the clubbing calendar for an artist – it really seems to be expanding musically?

“For me it´s super important. You get to meet a lot of friends and DJs there, also industry wise it´s perfect to make some new deals happen. ADE is not only a party for me, I also recommend getting there a day early, because Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in Europe.”

Have you prepared any secret bombs to play at the party?

“Yes a few. I’m going to try a couple of unreleased tracks from myself and also the new Avotre release from Darlyn Vlys…”

What else are you looking forward to at ADE?

“Meeting friends and hanging out.”

Did you manage to hook up with Dennis Ferrer in New York on your recent tour, did you cook up anything in the studio?

“Yes we spent a few amazing days together! Dennis is such a great guy and he has such a nice studio, so we worked on a tune together, but unfortunately it´s not finished yet.”
