X1 – Hacienda 30@ The Hacienda Apartments Car Park – Monday 21st May
Following months of planning and with great help from our partners in the event, The Hacienda is to take over The Hacienda Apartments Car Park for a special event with an full installation of light, sound and music which will feature a line up of famous Hacienda residents and surprise guests which will only be revealed at the party itself. Taking place right below the original club dancefloor, the event is in aid of the Nordoff Robbins music charity, and limited to some 500 guests, a one-off, spectacular event is planned to reflect thirty years of FAC 51 and with a gallery of FAC 51 faces past and present due at the event, it is being planned to stream the event online for those who are unable to attend or gain tickets via sources which will be revealed over coming days via The Hacienda’s official channels. Hacienda fans purchasing tickets for either of The Sankeys events prior to Monday 14th May 2012 will be entered into a draw to win tickets for the event and other competitions and opportunities to attend will be made via available some of our partners in the event. The Hacienda would like to thank the multiple parties who have made this event possible which include ellesse heritage, Factory 251, Livingcity, National Car Parks, Event Booths and the residents association at The Hacienda Apartments for their considerable help and assistance in putting the event together. All at The Hacienda are delighted to be coming back for the night, and are planning a spectacular, not to be forgotten event.

 

X2 – Hacienda 30 @ Sankeys – Saturday 2nd June – Laurent Garnier LBS Set & Julian Martin (Dirtybird) – Special Guests TBA
The first of the Sankeys parties, “X2” falls on the Saturday of Jubilee weekend, Saturday 2nd June and sees legendary French DJ Laurent Garnier return both to Manchester where he spent the late Eighties and also to the club where he started out DJing in 1987 at the original Whitworth Street venue. In a very special performance for the Haçienda’s 30th, Laurent brings his live “L.B.S” show to Manchester for the first time, which hones his live and improvisational talents as part of a three piece, Laurent taking charge of Djing and Machines, Benjamin Rippert on keyboards and long-time collaborator “Scan X” also working the technology. “L.B.S.” termed “Live Booth Sessions” or “Loud Bass & Samples” is Laurent’s own experimental live music project which plays across techno, jazz, house, dub, breakbeat and dubstep, combining the organic with the electronic, and the flexibility of a DJ performance with the intensity of a live show, specifically designed to match the feverish atmosphere and tempo of an energetic dancefloor. Support on Saturday 2nd June comes from San Franciscan DJ Julian Martin who along with Claude Von Stroke runs the Dirtybird record label.

 

X3 – Hacienda 30 Classics @ Sankeys – Monday 4th June –  Kevin Saunderson, Graeme Park, Jon Dasilva, Allister Whitehead, 808 State DJ’s, Peter Hook, Dave Haslam & more.
Closing off the Manchester run of dates for “Haçienda 30 XXX”, “X3” / Haçienda 30 Classics” on Monday 4th June brings together three of The Haçienda’s most famous club nights with a sensational line up of the DJ’s who made their mark at these very famous events. Taking the Sankeys mainfloor with a recreation of his 1992 to 1996 Saturday night residency, Haçienda DJ’ing mainstay Graeme Park is joined by Reese himself, Inner City’s Kevin Saunderson, his long term DJ resident partner, Tom Wainwright and the ever irrepressible Allister Whitehead. Taking Sankey’s Spektrum room upstairs, Jon Dasilva returns to raise the temperature, revisiting the “Hot” night from the heady days of 88 with a selection the finest early acid which is to be complimented on the night with sets from rave survivors, 808 State DJ’s, who bring along “The North At Its Heights” collaborator, MC Tunes and Peter Hook. The third room on Monday 4th June is taken by The Haçienda’s original indie crossover night, Temperance Club, which is helmed by DJ and commentator Dave Haslam alongside original Temperance resident Dave Booth, and Paper Recordings / Afficianado’s very own Justin Boardman. With all three parties featuring the very best sounds, installations and the inimitable atmosphere of The Haçienda in full flight, “Haçienda 30 XXX’s” trio of events are set to give the legendary club and the people that made it so, the very finest celebration for three decades of FAC 51

 

ELLESSE & FAC 51 The Hacienda’s Unique Collaboration For Thirtieth Anniversary Celebrations Of The Legendary Manchester Nightclub.
For FAC 51’s thirtieth anniversary, ellesse have been collaborating with The Hacienda team to produce something very special; a bespoke collection to commemorate three decades of the legendary club. This anniversary tribute honours the spirit and history of The Hacienda and the style influences which sprang from the iconic club, the collection being themed as “Label, Location, Legacy”. It is a unique and limited edition collaboration that will inevitably be highly sought after following its preview launch occurring on the Thursday 17th May 2012 four days prior to The Hacienda’s actual anniversary with a q & a session and event occurring in central Manchester to launch the shirt. Hacienda 30 XXX  – The Thirtieth Anniversary Exhibition – Manchester Photographic Gallery – Thursday 3rd May to Tuesday 29th May
As a build up to the events, Manchester Photographic Gallery will be hosting Hacienda 30 XXX ~ The Hacienda’s 30th Birthday Exhibition which will comprise a special a selection of posters and memorabilia from Peter Hook’s private collection including the original Hacienda signs, the Gay Traitor and other original club signs, the Hacienda doors and the clubs previously never displayed rear stained glass windows amongst other items. Rare historical photographs from The Hacienda by Ian Tilton also forms part of the exhibition along with an incredible model of the Hacienda interior, created by local artist Nick Hardy, will also be on display at the exhibition Further details on the exhibition will be revealed at www.manchesterphotographic.com and via www.fac51thehacienda.com / www.facebook.com/fac51thehacienda and will also be released over the coming week.
