The Urban Nerds return to the dancefloor in February and it’s set to be a loved-up affair!
This month the east London party crew are dusting their shoulders off with two humungous parties that will set you all up nicely for double-o-nine.
On February 6th the Nerds invite you to take tea and dance at the their favorite bass-bin, Fabric!
Hitting the intimate room 3 for the third time, they come ever-fresh with a headline set from old skool garage legend, Slimzee, who we can only hope takes things way back when to the days of Wiley, Kano and Dizz!
Slimzee’s joined by dubstep dons, Cotti & Cluekid and Shy FX proteges, Benny Page & Zero G, straight out of Digital Soundboy HQ, bringing with them their first ever London dubstep set! Of course, things wouldn’t be complete without an army of Nerds residents – Ordio Kid, Rattus Rattus and Klose One will spin everything from bassline to rave, grime and jungle.
Meanwhile, in Room 1 a mash-up of tasty beats come in the form of Get Familiar, headed-up by the main man himself, Sinden.
After destroying ya’ll at Fabric the Nerds are brushing off hangovers and getting loved-up with a Valentine’s day special and a long awaited return to their residency at Brick Lane’s 93 Feet East – all in the name of the mighty Snowbombing!
The Nerds host the festival’s official London warm-up party on Saturday 14th February with an absolutely enormous line-up. UK hip-hop legends, Foreign Beggars will be trying to win over your hearts together with Rusko, Session, GoldieLocks and DMC favorite, Tayo! All the Nerds DJs are also in the building and if you’re lucky you’ll get a glimpse of some top notch graffiti provided by London’s street art front-runners, ATG, celebrating a new addition to their creative empire with a 2009 residency at Urban Nerds!
So if you’re up for something a little more bass heavy than a cosy dinner for two, you know where Valentine’s is at!
