BLACK STROBE
A REMIX COLLECTION
PLAY LOUD

Isolation can occasionally trigger talent. For instance Gallic acts Daft Punk and Air came to the fore at a time when electronic music was almost unheard of in France. Similarly these last few years Black Strobe laid the foundations of electro-house, now clearly a dominating sound in clubs, when there was hardly a night for them to deejay at in Paris. Still Smagghe and Rebotini came up with a winning formula and along Tiefshwarz inspired imitators the world over with their killer robodisco. This compilation of some of their best remixes (for Depeche Mode, Bloc Party, The Rapture etc) only highlights once again how ahead of their times these two were for a while.
