No nonsense from Joey Beltram on his second album for the Tresor label – the ten tracks are packed into 45 minutes and don’t mess around! ‘Resurgence’ is a statement of intent, with a pounding kick drum and a deep, deep bass. The title track does more with the treble, as does the inventive ‘Awaken’, whilst every track possesses the pumping energy, whippersnapper beats and huge bass sounds that Beltram can secure at the drop of a hat. Very solid, and very dependable.
