It’s always good when live DJ mixes include the crowd reactions, and this is one that really benefits from an up for it crowd that holler their approval when a beat drops or a hard-edged riff erupts from the speakers. Chris Liebing gets going pretty quickly, delivering a hefty house set that stays pretty minimal up top to concentrate on the lower end. As a result there are heavy bass-driven tracks from Rickzor, Hardcell, Speedy J and Christian Smith & John Selway (‘Total Departure’). Ending with Danton Eprom’s remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Grindhouse’ is a damn good move, too, especially as it moves into the equally imposing Liebing mix of Brian Sanhaji’s ‘Cortosis’. Concrete-heavy house, with a good, solid dance guaranteed.
