DUNGEN
TA DET LUNGT
SUBLIMINAL SOUNDS

‘Folkrockpsych’ – looks a mouthful, perfectly fits Gustav Ejstes’ sound of strutting Sweden; your Scandinavian doesn’t have to be fluent to realise how Dungen can flounce around on stage with the best of them. A psychedelic, free-loving fellow who’s also partial to a bit of jazz, rolls the joint rather than taking great drags from it; the aptly-named ‘Festival’ dives headfirst into the front row, ‘Du E För Fin För Mig’ quickly lies back and thinks of Vastergotland before going back for more, ‘Lejonet & Kulan’ returns to the foetal position, and ‘Bortglömd’ escapes like No.6. The boy’s dung good.
