The word ‘bliminal’ doesn’t seem to be in the dictionary, but it sums up this downbeat compilation perfectly. Whilst there are only ten tracks to get horizontal to they do the trick perfectly, whether in the more upbeat ‘Active Ingredient’ from Evan Marc or the softly rounded sounds of Greg Hunter’s ‘Geonosis’. Pride of place goes to ISHQ’s ‘Nepalese Sun’ though, a fifteen minute suite that evolves in a completely unhurried manner without losing the listener. A nice way to come down early doors.
