When it comes to being DJ friendly, Cr2 are up there at the top. This is a generous 3CD package of ‘Upfront’, ‘Classics’ and ‘Acappellas’. ‘Classics’ gives a further opportunity to acquire any releases missed the first time round, with the Cr2 biggies David Guetta vs The Egg and Claude Von Stroke’s remix of Fedde Le Grand once again up for grabs. ‘Acappellas’ offers Kurd Maverick, Flash Brothers, Murk and the like, a stripped down take on the first CD. ‘Upfront’ is where the main interest lies, and here are anthems in waiting from 16 Bit Lolitas (‘Feel I’m Falling’) and the enjoyably retro Jamie Wamie (‘Piano Tight’). All are full length versions – and most hit the spot.
