Luke Slater gives Fabric’s series a welcome shot in the arm with this techno mix, recorded behind closed doors on the club’s system. It’s carefully planned yet still spontaneous, so that his trickery on tracks like Switch’s ‘A Bit Patchy’ comes over brilliantly. Slater heads through minimal techno, twisted disco, house and techno shot through with funk, as in the catchy Mock & Toof remix of The Juan MacLean’s ‘Love Is In The Air’. Martin Buttrich caps it all with ‘Full Clip’, a simple but deadly effective way to finish. As you’d expect from Slater, a hugely absorbing mix of music.
