Summer is definitely here when the moustachioed Horse Meat Disco swings into town – and their fourth commercially available helping of disco and disco house grooves is ready to get those festival crowds moving once more. The Horse Meat recipe is a tried, tested and highly successful one that keeps on unearthing quality grooves – in this case the pulsing electro grooves of K.S.B’s ‘Misaluba’ and Valery Allington’s ‘Stop’, which starts out in an electro vein but swings towards the disco. ‘Don’t Stop’ by ISH is deceptively simple, while on a more modern tip is the ever reliable Joey Negro, his ‘Candidate For Love’ upping the brass quotient. As ever the inclusion of an unmixed CD means the desirable tracks are immediately available and dancefloor ready, always an asset! Now all I need is the tongs for a quick twirl of the ‘tache’…
