PLAYED IN FULL: THE 90s
RESIST

Twelve inch collections are in vogue at the moment, and this meaty triple pack majors on the sound of early 90s Manchester, with only the odd track from the later part of the decade. A good decision, you would think, especially with less easy to find remixes of James and the Stone Roses rubbing shoulders with the bona fide classics of Leftfield/Lydon, Bizarre Inc and Xpansions. Extra marks can be given for the mammoth Brothers in Rhythm mix of Kylie’s ‘Confide In Me’, but these are lopped off just as quickly with the token Alison Limerick and Age of Love appearances. Not to mention Tony Di Bart. Still, these are minor quibbles of something that represents essentially good value for your money.
