The Doggfather has his fingers in a few pies these days, one of which is his own record label. This unmixed selection might come as a bit of a surprise, for as well as the rap it has a highly soulful content. The quality level is high throughout, with Snoop himself drifting in and out of tracks – like DPGC’s ‘Real Soon’ or the fine ‘We West Coast’, while vocalists Tiffany Foxx and J. Black show what they’re made of. Foxx’s honeyed tones are particularly good, but the poor girl has a problem – she can’t find her panties. Comes with the territory, I suppose!
