Trevor Loveys is most definitely the man if you want a bit of bounce in your house beats. Both ‘Body Jack’ mixes are brilliantly compiled, energetic, packed full of riffs and athletic bass lines. CD1 is especially nimble, concentrating on a lot of his own remixes of Evil 9, Ragga Twins & Aquasky, Acid Kids and Roisin Murphy. CD2 starts a little more housebound but soon flexes the muscles, moving into an upfront pair of remakes of City Reverb’s ‘City Of Lights’, followed by the equally enjoyable Lil Bo Tweak with ‘K. Rizzle’. Loveys is hugely entertaining throughout, with never a dull moment in either mix.
