There it is! DJ Spen’s Quantize Recordings presents ‘That’s How We Do It’, the first LP from the Legendary New York producer, DJ Romain.
For over three decades, Romain Gowe has produced some of the best underground House Music and countless remixes that made him famous all over the globe. He is a pioneer of a sound that today’s generation of DJ / producers has tried to emulate with little success. ‘That’s How We Do It’ displays Romain’s skill as a House music producer in a way that combines traditional, contemporary, and revolutionary sounds. It is exceptional in every way and the diversity it shows, underlines the great talent the man has. Some older nuggets as the brilliant Musique sampling ‘Summer Lovin’ flow perfectly alongside funky jams as ‘How Can We Do It’ or High On Sunshine’. My personal fave must be the outstanding house roller that is ‘Doin’ My Own Thang’. All in all this is one of the best House albums of this year so far and another sure shot for Spen and his crew.
