Aural Distortion’s follow-up to ‘Fragmented’ is a sleek, deep three-tracker which manages to combine electro textures, deep house sensibility and minimal spaciness to delicious effect. ‘Overlap’ plants lush, ethereal melodies over chugging groove with a whole lot of soul. AN-2’s remix accentuates the deep house angle and adds whooshes and twitters. Flip for ‘Next’, where the bass throb rules, deliriously translucent pads waft and terriers float the ceiling with big arrows pointing to their testicles.
