This week’s bootleg is a mysterious rework of (arguably) the most poignant Cocteau Twins track ever. Originally on the 1989 album of the same name, ‘Blue Bell Knoll’ is above all singer Liz Fraser, at her peak, belting out another unbelievable melody packed with lyrical intensity and contained sadness. Now with a 4/4 kick and gentle synthwork (euro-goth?) this sublime track has lost none of its depth and sure brings a different flavour to the dancefloor (129 BPM).
