Ran by Phonique Ladies & Gentlemen is a brand new imprint focussing on the underground sound of house with a little pop appeal. Boris Fox hails from Marina near Odessa and drops three tracks. Slow-paced à la Lindstrom ‘Dancefloor Dude’ is deep dreamy 4/4 with synthetic electro-disco touches. ‘Deeper Sense’ gets a bit moodier, a simple yet loopy electronic groove that’s like a stoned take on Trevor Horn’s eighties hi-nrg. ‘Deeper Nonsense’ is more laidback despite evocative synths and a marching beat that chugs along.
