Detroit veteran Claude Young is back with a grand anthem on Sheffield’s latest electronic imprint Science. Starting off with a pulsating intro ‘Electronic Dissident’ then blends to perfection manic tribal percussion and evocative strings. You guessed it, this is moving Detroit techno at its most inspired (123 BPM). On the flip Black Dog offer a dark tech-funk rework that takes things towards a gentle industrial path. If that wasn’t enough the laid back ‘Hamburg By Night’ seals off this epic venture in fine introspective style.
