Back in the early noughties ‘Jambe Myth’ took its original form from the
constituent elements of the day: percussion from Silicone Soul, a melody
from Alan Braxe, chords from Raven Maize and bassline on the ‘Finally’-tip.
Combined it smacked of instant recognition, and ended up as a minor
crossover hit when it became ‘Love Will Set You Free’ with Steve Edwards
added topline. It returns once more now on an electro-tip recreated by
Greenpower, and as with what’s gone before, there’s no samples just load of
‘inspired by’ reference points, although the once hauntingly beautiful
instrumental number isn’t quite as serine in its new electronic surround.
