The album’s ready to go and first single ‘Pogo’ is setting the tone. With its minor guitar chords and the youthful Robert Smith-sms of vocalist (and one-half of the duo) Jens, Digitalism now looks set to steal the crown of adolescent indie-pop from The Cure. They might have come up to the fore via demented club tracks and remixes but this is a proper band with proper electrock songs you are faced with here, you’ve been warned.
