Austria based Christian Eigner has built up quite a reputation as Depeche Mode’s drummer, as well as doing his own stuff. What we’ve got here is a couple of tracks from Eigner’s debut solo album ‘Recovery’, that have both been given the remix treatment. First up Kid Loco tackles ‘Go’, turning in a percussive 4/4 shin digger, with a guitar riff that brings the Orson Wells classic ‘The Third Man’ to mind, and silver screen siren vocals come from B.B. Baxant of Silicone Pumpgun, which is the dreamy topping on the cake, while simmering acid hovers in the background. Meanwhile Smitty enhances the electro pop sensibilities of the original. Over on the flip DJ Naughty goes acid house, Christian Candid strips it back and Microthol go bleak electro, as all three get to grips with ‘Stalking’.
