First taster of the magnificent Thrills album is possibly the angriest track. Over a twitching electronic throb, Ellen occasionally shouts punkily while riffs gouge or divebomb to arresting effect. But there’s still the reflective atmosphere and sexy shuffle which characterises the album. Her Berlin-based label’s latest signing are The MFA from England, whose remix adds electro appendages and unexpedly launches into a total hands-in-the-air breakdown halfway. Finally, Modeselektor reconstruct the song with a new stop-start rhythm which works too, completing a fantastic threesome.
