A long-time serving pioneer of the electro-techno thang, Ian ‘Eon’ B is back with a new album on Fiberlineaudio (digital) and a 12” on Kracktronick. Evoking the abstract landscapes of Andrea Parker’s imprint Touchin’ Bass, the mathematics of NY’s Satamile records and, of course, the creators of it all Kraftwerk, ‘DeVice’ is like a step back to the future at a time when the Roland 303, 808, 909s and Pacman-type arcade games were necessary machines in order to create futuristic soundtracks. As the west London producer puts it himself: ‘this is music to facilitate audio simulation of the brain and cause a positive enhancement of the human condition, it’s also good for ravers’.
