One electro classic that never goes away. Reactivated – Network Records around 10 years ago springs to mind – and constantly resurfacing on compilations and in DJ’s sets, it’s simply one of the most influential electronic tracks of all time. The chomping proto-acid riffs, ethereal string line and vocoder madness made for one deadly floor-filler which caused chaos when it first came out in ’83 and still does now. Here, ELP join up with New York’s Cutting Records and set respected Hamburg DJ Taurus loose on it – with lethal consequences. The Electro mix simply beefs up the original and turns the vocal into Daleks. The Techno Mix introduces a thunderous 4/4 kick after a vicious build which is truly frightening. I envy those who might be hearing this for the first time.
