Funnily enough this French booty happens to associate three bands already connected with each other: Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem and Soulwax. The A side boasts a housed-up makeover of ‘Robot Rock’, useful for those who can’t live below 127 BPM but certainly not as original as les Dafts’ own version – or Soulwax’s fine techy remix for that matter (on the general release). The choice cut is on the flip: a pumping housey rework of LCD Soundsystem’s last single ‘Daft Punk Is Playing At My House’ with a rolling offbeat synth à la ‘Burnin” (129 BPM). Not quite as mad as the Soulwax remix their buddies LCD recently commissioned but well worth a few spins.
