Scandinavian electro-pop is shaping up and new label Gay Monkey records is doing its bit.
The original of ‘Fabulous’ stays within strict song format, Sara Berg’s raunchy vocals cutting sharply through the mix. NY’s luminary DJ Larry Tee keeps things delicate whilst injecting a little madness to proceedings. For serious peak-time action though, Punx Soundcheck (them again, they’ve also remixed ‘Theme From S’Express’ this week), pump it up to bright electro-prog levels, the soulful delivery working even better on this up tempo hi-nrg backing.
