TOUCHIN’ BASS

On the basis of this terrifying artefact, Miami’s Schematic crew must be fixated on attaching weighty anchors to their bell-ends and hurling them onto the nearesr railway track, just for the buzz. At the moment, affiliate Otto Von Schirach is certifiably the most unhingedly masochistic protagonist in electro. No wonder Andrea Parker has being trying to ensnare him for her illustrious outer limits electronic aquarium. He doesn’t so much make a track but a sonic assault which sounds like rampant early Aphex meeting Throbbing Gristle falling down the stairs and having a fight. Here, his ‘Trick Snitch’ also recalls the dive-bomb electro-bass assaults of the late 90s. The other side goes to Phoenicia – Otto’s partners-in-Schematic Romulo Del Castillo and Joshua Kay – whose ‘Boom Bonique Plague [Gorge! Binge! Purge! Edit]’ takes the circuit-busting white noise racket principle to raucous punk rock levels. Extreme noise terror all round.
