After their recent single on Suicide, Padded Cell join the DC stable. Makes sense as along Emperor Machine, Chicken Lips etc, Rich Sen & Neil Beatnik cultivate a similar fascination for all dubbed-out clubby things (mostly pre-house). And who can blame them? To this day the eighties remain a golden era where the rules of dance music were somewhat less rigid. Both tracks on offer here have a soundtrack feel, mixing real (and fake) instruments. Disco? Electro? Funk? You name it. As if all this was improvised, you never know where it’s taking you next…
