Suddenly the world is going mad for Daniele Baldelli’s ‘cosmic’ sound. Last May the legendary DJ was back with an EP on Gomma and Compost are now releasing ‘Elaste Vol.1’, a compilation of faves from his late seventies club Discoteca Cosmic. Clearly his eclectic sound influenced European dance music at a time when balearic and new-beat where still in infancy, no wonder today a whole bunch of jocks keep cosmic’s slow-paced hypnotic grooves pumping. After Lindstrom and Prins Thoms who released their album on Eskimo, the Belgian imprint has unearthed Peter Visti another DJ who crafts sexy and melodic ten-minutes-long instrumentals that build and build endlessly.
