Duos made of a keyboard player and a singer have been a constant in electro since the late seventies (Suicide, Yazoo, DAF etc) and they keep coming. Brighton based Product.01 are soon releasing their third EP ‘The Loud’ which furthers their experiments with raw techy breaks. With ‘The Door’ parisians OMR offer a more sophisticated approach unfortunately the remixes from DJ Vadim and Prefuse 73 loose the dramatic beauty of the original in favour of standard trip-hoppy treatments.
