Plenty of mixes here to ensure The Young Punx garner the airplay time, managing to press the electro, indie and pop buttons in varying degrees, and it’s a catchy song as well, to it’s credit. The action is definitely in the remixed format for louder speakers, though, and it’s tough to choose between Olav Basoki’s nine minute plus tracky workout that’s got that terrace vibe, powerhouse drums and some effectively placed drops building the tension, or Don Diablo’s slightly tougher dub that rocks in the bottom end department. Still, Phonat’s freakily filtered “Frees His Mind” mix gives them both a run for their money, so it’s a photo finish after all.
