SCARLETRON
CORON DATA EP
TOUCHIN’ BASS

Recently responsible for an essential house tune with his ‘Count On it’ EP for Seventh Sign, the eclectic Mr Finlow pops up working alongside Daz Quayle of Scsi-av with electro-subversives Touchin’ Bass. Recently, Andrea Parker’s label has been getting more twisted. Scarletron don’t let her down with three invigoratingly warped exercises in pushing the outer limits. ‘Allegorica’ is a dark and clanking rumblerwhich churns like an electron-gobbing black cloud. ‘Crashy Mat’is aterrifying trip into  the post-nuclear nightmare garden with whirring creepers, booing 808 and mutoid waste monsters exposing themselves. In contrast, the 13 minute ‘Coron Data Memory Maps 1-40’ dispenses with beats and harks back to 70s krautrock excursions into freeform electronics withy its disembodied voices and spooky noises. Out there.
