The world debut of SoulWeaver, aka Lee Hoare from Birmmingham [who some of us must’ve encountered when he worked at Phutre Trax promo company around a decade ago]. He seems to have found his true vocation on Andrea Parker’s label, entering the recording world via limited ten-inch and uncurling possibly the scariest outing on Touchin’ Bass yet – which is saying something. ‘Parra Attack’ is like a stroll through a radioactive garden with snapping acid arcing over terrifying subterranean depths. ‘Phantom Movements’ is scarier still: all dark, and eerie dream tones with jittering efx, huge sub swells and noises like hovering demons about to unleash the contents of Stan’s scrotum. It’s dark, nasty and evil – making for top hole electro once more!
