For many dislocated funk is the sound of now and Maurice Fulton’s its unquestionable high priest. Here he’s producing Syclops: a supergroup put together by three mysterious males on vacation from their regular musical activities (a NY/Melbourne/Helsinki axis apparently). Is it all a little too art student and jazz-rock for its own good? Well yes, but hen again it depends where you stand.
