A welcome return to Soma after three years for Percy X, one of their earliest signings. Maybe now the time is right for the electro seams he was fearlessly mining in the previous decade to bust out all over. Percy has teamed up with Marco Bernardi of Frustrated Funk and Emoticon to cause some electronic havoc as the Separatists. The result is ramraidingly audacious as it bangs together the heads of original electro and deepest Detroit to span a gamut of dancefloor insurrection. The techno-grounded title track falls willing victim to an angry bee invasion over antler-tip buttock-nibbling rectal rifferama. The flip hotwires the electro-beast by its pendulous testicles as ‘Circuit Dancer’ goes deep and moody via Chuck Berry’s home-wanking footage, while ‘3 Zeros’ humps a Satomile-style electro-jiggle with an 808 penis. Love the altitude.
