In Germany techno and electro have always been going hand in hand (must be a Kraftwerk thang). If you’re lucky, humour can also be part of the equation as witnessed on tech-breaks terrorists Vanguard’s (hilarious) bootleg of Queen ‘Flash Gordon’ (a top 20 hit a few years ago). However Shama & Bartsch have since gone back to what they know best: knocking out serious industrial landscapes ranging from the cool sleazy vocoder infused ‘1Bit Bass’ (129 BPM) to er, old-fashioned ravey breakbeat (139) and bizarre fucked-up grooves (‘Feieralarm’ 133).
