Parisian label Kitsuné decidedly offers a unique view on modern electronic pop. They’ve now signed US band Vhs Or Beta and if this first single is anything to go by here’s a band that could go a long way. ‘Night On Fire’ is an addictive new-romantic anthem with enough rock bite to get NME hacks excited too (think The Bravery, only much better). There are Cut Copy and Tommie Sunshine mixes available but nothing coming close to the magic of Interpol’s Carlos D who’s turned out a fabulous remix that sounds like Joy Division, with Tears For Fears’ Roland Orzabal on vocals, remixed in NY by Danceteria’s Mark Kamin (or something like that).
