Vive la Vulva – Hanno Leichtmann’s house discord is a great lesson of bitching 4/4 beats and fuzzed minimalism correcting the senses. In particular, ‘Arsenio Hall’ allows plenty of jacking room while dodging the swing of a scuffed bass pendulum, and the title track simultaneously gets sleeker but spikier, prone to gear changes and moving itself into the darkness.
